Macadamia nuts are the most expensive nuts due to the costs associated with harvesting and cracking.

But as a premium product, they have the highest fat content of any tree nuts - with more than 75% mono-unsaturated fats.

They are also a good source of dietary fibre, vitamin B6, vitamin E, calcium, copper, iron, magnesium, manganese, potassium, selenium, zinc and contain flavonoids (plant metabolites that convert into antioxidants).

Aside from the well documented health and dietary benefits of macadamia nuts, they have a unique buttery flavour and soft crunch which changes dramatically when roasted.
